ABOUT ME

James is a non-union actor currently auditioning nationwide out of Omaha, NE. A Delaware native, his artistic journey started at a young age when he began performing on stage alongside his three older sisters. As a highly decorated Air Force veteran of ten years, he gained invaluable experience traveling the world and serving as an aviator, instructor, and linguist. During that time, his passion for the stage never dwindled – carrying forward his unique history, he is now a dedicated actor and singer in the professional theater community.

Singing is James’s way of expressing emotions and connecting with audiences on a deeper level through music.

Verderamo sings these pieces as if Brown wrote them just for him. They not only fit his voice beautifully, but he instills such emotion throughout the score. But it is the duets that he has with Ehresman that make our hearts soar and give possible hope for their future.

James Verderamo cuts a tragic figure as Gerry Goffin.  Verderamo’s Goffin is a lyrical genius, but never satisfied with what he has and is always looking for the next big thing.  Verderamo well captures Goffin’s battle with manic-depression as he laments not being able to keep up with the times as the style of songwriting changes over the latter half of the 60s and his desire to have his cake and eat it too, by remaining married to King, but indulging in other romances.  Verderamo also has a fine, mellow voice exemplified in “Take Good Care of My Baby” and his personal take on “Up On the Roof”.

James Verderamo (Ernst Ludwig) draws us in, then repels with a polar opposite force as an anti-semitic Nazi. He’s the guy you love to hate. The perfect antihero. A symbol of all that is wrong in the world. And he’s good at it.
